Where will you be working?



We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.



This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.



This role will be within our IOS Framework for Anglian Water, supporting the operations and completing remedial works over the Essex Suffolk and Cambridge Area

As the apprentice you will learn:

You'll learn the construction of mechanical systems and equipment to engineering drawings. We'll teach you how to conduct testing, fault-finding and diagnostics of mechanical equipment. You'll be able to prioritise and work to given timescales. You'll adhere to the company policies and procedures. You'll be taught how to ensure quality standards are met. You'll learn how to complete asset capture to provide evidence of correct installation to Site Manager and Project Engineer We'll teach you how to resolve issues on site during construction in relation to materials , plant issues etc Safety is our licence to operate! You'll champion health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment. What you'll bring



Be at least 18 years of age at the time the apprenticeship program commences Valid driving licence Have the right to work in the UK Achieved grade 4-9 in English and Maths or be willing to undertake Functional Skills, which is equivalent to GCSE qualifications Be able to travel to your depot or work site every day, potentially at unsocial hours Be prepared to travel to undertake day or block release training and development sessions. Demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm to work outdoors Possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools As the role involves manual labour, including lifting, bending, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and required to walk and stand on uneven ground, we'll need you to have a level of fitness which will allow you to complete tasks safely. You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction Effective communication skills Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression Passionate about the industry Hardworking Reliable, with excellent attendance and timekeeping Ability to use own initiative Must have a 'can do' attitude
