Across both of our businesses here at Puffin Produce and Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd we are offering a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn as a Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance Apprentice. Within both of our companies, we are proud to support local farmers and the Welsh economy with a commitment to innovation and quality, with ongoing investment in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure our customers receive the best fresh produce throughout the year.

Over a three-year period, you will work alongside skilled engineers, gain practical experience while studying towards a Level 3 Qualification in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance. Whilst you gain experience on site, your practical learning will be supported by Pembrokeshire College where you will attend lectures for one day a week to gain your formal qualification.

During your studies you will be involved in:



Fault finding on mechanical, electrical and automation systems

Diagnosing and resolving faults on production machinery

Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime

Continuous improvement in production efficiency

Learning how to read technical drawings and wring diagrams

Understanding food safety and hygiene standards

Working with industry experts who will provide mentorship during your apprenticeship

Requirements:



Minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, must include Maths at Grade B or above

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Engineering minded with an interest in problem solving and working as part of a team

Willingness to learn with a strong work ethic
