About the role

We offer a childcare apprenticeship scheme for people interested in working with babies and children under five years old. If you are enthusiastic and have a passion to work with children, this could be the role for you.

The course is a great opportunity for school leavers who are looking to start a career within the early years sector.

Apprenticeships are funded whilst you earn and you should complete your Level 2 training in 18 months.

Our Apprentices work full time, covering a shift system with the rest of our team which includes their training hours.

Training

Apprentices will be supported to meet the requirements of, and to complete the Level 2 training at our own Training Centre in Thatcham.

We can also offer functional skills in English and Maths alongside the apprenticeship if required to allow you to progress to Level 3.

We offer lots of other training to support staff to reach their full potential and progress in their childcare career. We'd love to support you in your development here at Tiger Day Nurseries.

What you will be doing

You will work in one of our nursery rooms, working as part of a small team, offering the best care and learning opportunities for our children. We use online learning journals to record children's progress and development and our team welcomes fresh ideas to support this.

Daily you will be interacting with the children through play, reading stories and helping them with their curious minds.

As with all our staff team, the successful applicant will be required to have an enhanced DBS certificate, a subscription to the update service and two good references.
