Why this role matters

You'll be paid while completing on-the-job training. You'll gain a nationally recognised

Level 3-4 qualification

(the standard qualification for Pharmacy Technicians) and, on successful completion, eligibility for

GPhC registration

. This apprenticeship is a strong springboard to further study -- many past apprentices go on to higher education (foundation degrees, HNDs or degree-level courses) or progress into specialist or senior pharmacy roles.

What you'll be doing

Supporting patient consultations with care and clarity Assisting with dispensing and processing NHS prescriptions Helping at the counter and handling phone enquiries Managing stock, date-checking and unpacking deliveries Learning our pharmacy software and helping with admin tasks

What we're looking for

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science (grade C/4 or above) Smart, professional presentation and good spoken English Reliable, punctual and organised -- a team player who's keen to learn Retail or pharmacy experience helpful but not essential Able to commit to study (?6 hours/week) -- training is mostly online via Teams

What you'll get

Paid, on-the-job training: earn while you study. Level 3-4 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship delivered by Woodspeen (remote sessions via Teams). Mentor support, in-pharmacy coaching and no travel for classes. GPhC registration on successful completion and clear pathways to degree-level study or advanced roles. Permanent role possible for the right person.

Important info

Must have the right to work in the UK and be resident in the UK for at least 3 years. 24-month fixed-term apprenticeship; withdrawing mid-course can affect funding.
