Apprentice Plant Fitter

Are you interested in starting a career as a Plant Mechanic, maintaining and repairing mobile and static plant machinery?

As an Apprentice Plant Fitter, you will receive support to complete your NVQ L2 over the first two years, and if successful, you will progress to Level 3 in the final year, while gaining practical experience.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you may be considered for a Plant Fitters position within the team, depending on available opportunities and your performance.

You will be part of the Maintenance team based at one of our Quarries either at Narberth or Haverfordwest. You will be assisting with the maintenance of various items of plant responding to emergency breakdowns of plant on site and throughout the company's fleet.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

Assisting with carrying out repairs to mobile plant such as Articulated Dumpers, Front end loading shovels, 360 Excavators, rollers, mini diggers, pavers, planers and any other mobile plant or static plant within our fleet. Assisting with carrying out repairs to fixed plant such as asphalt plants, concrete plants and crushing plant. Assist with carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance. Completing vehicle service and maintenance records, Job cards and defect reporting Assist with carrying out daily inspections of workshops and maintenance vehicles in line with the company housekeeping standards and requirements.
