Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. You will undertake a GPhC-accredited 2 year apprenticeship through distance learning and the development of a practical skills portfolio on the CFT wards .Upon completion, you will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.

Main duties of the job

This is a two-year training post to work as an apprentice pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician, designed to give the trainee the experience and knowledge to be able to register as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and to work as a pharmacy technician to support a wide range of pharmacy activities and is a gateway to a wider career in pharmacy. The trainee is supported throughout training and work experience placements and with support will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

Essential criteria

Min 4 GCSE's Grade 4 or above OR equivalent qualification including Maths, English Language, and two Science based subjects or Double Science.

Desirable criteria

BTEC Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science or Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service (NVQ) EDCL or similar level IT/computer skills Experience of working in a hospital Experience of working in a pharmacy #

Able to show evidence of interest in the work of a pharmacy technician
