Apprentice Roofer Wanted - Learn the Trade from the Ground Up
Location: Irvine & surrounding areas
Business: Independent roofing contractor with a reputation for quality and professionalism
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri), Weekends optional
Wage: Meets apprentice minimum, with performance-based increases
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with roof installations, repairs, and guttering
Learning advanced techniques like leadwork, dry ridge systems, and GRP/EPDM flat roofing
Handling tools, materials, and site prep/cleanup
Shadowing skilled roofers with years of hands-on experience
What We're Looking For
Reliable, punctual, and willing to graft
Good attitude and eagerness to learn
Comfortable with heights and outdoor work
No experience needed--just commitment and common sense
Training & Progression
Option to enrol in a formal apprenticeship with a local college (e.g. Ayrshire College)
On-the-job training with real projects and real clients
Potential for long-term employment and skill certification
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: From 8.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Work Location: Remote
