About the Role
RetroCameraFix is offering a rare hands-on apprenticeship for anyone curious about how things work and passionate about vintage photography. As an Apprentice Vintage Camera Repair Technician, you'll learn to restore 35mm film cameras from the inside out -- from dismantling and cleaning to testing and reassembly.
This is an ideal role if you're practical, patient, and enjoy detailed work. No previous experience required -- just a good attitude, keen eye for detail, and a love of tinkering.
What You'll Be Doing
Dismantling vintage 35mm cameras and inspecting internal components
Cleaning, repairing, and reassembling parts with precision
Testing shutter speeds, focusing accuracy, and light meter performance
Logging repairs, following checklists, and preparing cameras for dispatch
Assisting with packaging, unboxing deliveries, and light customer service
