About the Role





As our Apprentice, you'll be the first point of contact for everyone who walks through our doors or gets in touch with us online or by phone. Your role is vital in creating a warm and inclusive environment for all visitors. You'll also support the smooth running of our services by carrying out essential administrative and customer service tasks.



This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who wants to build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly team in a supportive charity setting that promotes diversity, wellbeing, and employment opportunities.


What You'll Be Doing (We'll train you on all these!) Greet visitors with a friendly and inclusive approach Provide clear, helpful information about all our services. Be inclusive to support ensuring all our customers feel valued and respected, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Use till systems to take payments and handle cash responsibly. Operate our booking system for leisure activities like swimming lessons. Promote Zest's activities across our social media and in-centre displays. Keep public areas tidy and welcoming for everyone. Assist with gym induction appointments, memberships and bookings for rooms. Carry out admin tasks like data entry, photocopying, and emailing. Maintain up-to-date customer records and handle post and deliveries. Follow our EDI, health & safety, and data protection policies at all times. Report any issues or concerns to a supervisor promptly.

What We're Looking For




Essential:




Friendly and confident communicator Organised, reliable, and punctual Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Email) A team player who enjoys helping others Open-minded and respectful of different backgrounds and experiences Willing to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends Presentable and ready to represent Zest with a positive attitude Willingness to undertake Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 qualification

Desirable:




An interest in health and fitness Willing to train as a Pool Lifeguard (NPLQ qualification) will need to be a confident swimmer
