Role Information
As an Apprenticeship Manager in our Housing & Property team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Apprenticeship Trainers who work with work-based learners, delivering all aspects of apprenticeship frameworks & standards in Housing, Property Management, Sales, and Lettings. Your role is to lead and support the trainers in the delivery and monitoring of apprenticeships and full cost programmes; the day-to-day operation of those programmes with the relevant Head of Department, and ensuring that the curriculum is delivered efficiently and effectively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
Take full accountability for the delivery of high-quality apprenticeships within your direct control, ensuring that they meet their targets, while delivering a great experience to our learners
To line manage staff within the department, including responsibility for their induction, appraisal, 1-1's, and staff development, and ensuring that they comply with Learning Curve Group procedures
Leading and developing your team to bring out the best in everyone, while promoting and embedding a high-performance culture
Undertake caseload reviews regularly, while coaching and mentoring your direct reports in the development of their practice
To agree and monitor the performance objectives of direct line reports so that they contribute to the achievement of the whole Learning Curve Group targets
Quality and Compliance:
Implement processes to ensure the progress of learners are on track for timely achievement
Implement the at-risk process and action plan to ensure learners maintain progress and succeed
Support the Quality Team to prepare the Apprenticeship Team for external reviews
Liaise with the IQA team to identify quality hot spots from their sampling activity
Disseminate to the direct report, information on the required standards to maintain the quality of the assessment practice
Undertake continuous self-assessment and improvement planning with a focus on raising standards and ensuring a quality learner experience
Understand the measures and key drivers of key performance indicators and be proactive in managing and escalating issues where necessary

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Relevant teaching and assessment qualification
Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written)
Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy (or GCE/GCSE equivalent)
Experience in managing remote staff in an apprenticeship delivery model
Appropriate teacher and assessing experience in terms of breadth and depth (more than one level, at least 3 years)
Detailed knowledge of the common education inspection framework
Detailed and practical understanding of assessment for learning
Experience in the housing industry in one of the disciplines listed above
Flexibility to travel occasionally
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Coaching and/or mentoring experience
Demonstrable experience in sharing practice and resources
Undertaking quality improvement activity change
Ability to identify, adapt, and transfer good practice
Has the ability to embed numeracy and literacy in their own teaching
