Job Overview


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the butchery industry. As a Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training in various aspects of Meat operations, food preparation, and safety protocols. This role is perfect for those with a passion for Butchery and a desire to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation and production of food items according to established recipes and standards. Support staff in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the workspace. Learn and adhere to food safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of food handling. Participate in training sessions to develop skills related to techniques, equipment operation, and food safety measures. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Assist in the butchering process under the guidance of experienced staff, learning proper techniques and safety measures.

Requirements



A keen interest in Butchery operations, culinary arts, or food production is essential. Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is preferred; training will be provided. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are crucial for maintaining quality standards. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment.

After a successful 3 month Probation period , you will be enrolled on a Level 2 Butchery Apprenticeship with Meat Ipswich , all training can be done in the work place .

You will need to be punctual , reliable and hard working to be put forward for the course

Job Types: Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: 22,000.00-24,000.00 per year
