Job Summary

To carry out electrical installation to wet room shower facilities and kitchens, and associated works. Most install are surface mounted therefore trunking runs must be very neat and tidy

Main Responsibilities

Carry out Domestic & Commercial Electrical Installations

Fault Diagnostics and Repairs.

Electrical Testing and Inspection

Working and assisting on small project and installation works

To report on a daily basis to supervisor on the status of all works within the Department and advise in good time, problems of time-scale or resources.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with the 'Health and Safety at Work Act

Any other ad hoc accounts duties

Person Specification

The Ideal Candidate Will

Experience in social housing

Experience in electric installations with wet rooms preferred

Experience with installing plastic trunking

Have good practical skills and problem-solving skills

Have the ability to follow technical drawings, building plans and wiring diagrams

Have the ability to work carefully, methodically and safely

Have good written and verbal communication skills

Have experience of electrical fault diagnostics and installation works

Have Knowledge of IEE Regulations

Be recognised and trained to work with vulnerable persons

Have asbestos awareness

Have knowledge of the risk assessment process

Be able to work as part of a team and individually

Have the ability to be flexible and adaptable as required

Essential Qualifications/ Skills

City and Guilds 2360-1 or AM2 Level 3 Standard

C&G Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) (2365-03) or equivalent

City and guilds 2394 or equivalent - Initial verification and certification

C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing and testing experience or equivalent

Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2022 (2382-22)

NVQ would be an advantage but not essential

Full Clean UK Driving licence

18th Edition qualified
