What is the job role?

We are looking for highly motivated professional to join our Community Mental Health Team based at Swanswell Point in Coventry. The Team incorporates Community Mental Health Nurses, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, and Clerical Staff.


The team supports people to co-produce recovery plans to enable better lives and to stay as independent as possible. All supports are person-centred, strength based and designed for people to have choice and control in their lives.


As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will also be involved in assessing, coordinating, and arranging care for people living with mental health concerns, both in the community and in hospital.


If you are an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will be required to undertake assessment's under the Mental Health Act as part of the city wide AMHP rota.

For all posts, we operate a flexible / hybrid working week and you will be office based at least 2 days a week.

Excellent assessment skills Working knowledge of and application of MHA, MCA, The Care Act and Children's Act A working knowledge of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Excellent risk assessment and management skills Organisation, recording and workload management skills Diplomacy, negotiating, listening skills. Be able to work in collaboration with people with lived experiences, carers and colleagues. To work as part of a team Have autonomy and decision-making skills Develop personal home treatment plans Good IT skills Have a vision for your own career development and future training Resilience, flexibility, stamina and a great sense of humour!
