Primary Responsibilities






In the role of

Architect for Social Infrastructure projects

, we'll count on you to:




Have recent experience working on diverse and complex social infrastructure projects (including health, education and science/technology) and/ data centre projects. Lead aspect of the planning and detailing of architectural projects for architectural projects through all stages of design, while under the supervision of a Project Lead/ Project Manager Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports. Facilitate and lead owner/clients, internal and stakeholder meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager. Good working knowledge and experience within the UK planning and building regulations systems. Ensure work complies with relevant codes, standards and regulations (i.e. UK Building Regulations, Standards and Healthcare Guidance) Participate in QA/QC and technical reviews. Perform other duties as needed.



You'll be working closely with the multi-disciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors in the UK and Europe.



Required Requirements



Registered Architect- ARB A minimum of 3-5 years practical and industry experience in the UK (i.e. social infrastructure projects (including health, science and technology, education and community projects) and/ or data centre projects) Passion for creativity and design Excellent collaboration skills, good self-organisation and strong ability to work in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective facilitation with client and multidisciplinary team Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Knowledge and experience applying relevant codes, standards and regulations in design and planning. Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet tight deadlines. Intermediate level knowledge and experience with design software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Understanding of computational and parametric design Graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications



Master's degree in architecture Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max but not required Rhino and Grasshopper experience Experience and/or interest in sustainable design.

Required Requirements




Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field 3+ years' experience of working with Data Centre projects is desirable. Registered Architect Understanding and experience of various building contracts Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) Excellent written and communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process Demonstrated graphic presentation skills Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications Strong knowledge of building regulations and good planning skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
