Make It Memorable

- Service is a transaction. Hospitality is a feeling that lasts.

Continuously Improve

Systemise Everything

We believe that good craic is a necessity in life and our mission is to get our customers to the 'good times' as quickly and easily as possible.

Job Overview

We are seeking a forward thinking Architect who also has a passion for project management to join our team and lead our hospitality property developments from start to finish. Due to the fact that we like to complete one development at a time, we usually have a 'lull' time while we are waiting for planning permission - therefore ideally our PM would fill this time with doing architectural design and drawings before the next project starts. In practice, this should translate to approximately 40% architectural and 60% project management but wouldnt be set in stone.

You will work with our (external) architect in drawing and designing our developments. You will then ensure each project runs like clockwork (on budget and on time) by overseeing the design team and representing us (the client) on a daily basis. To be frank, this means running highly organised design team meetings and continually chasing consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver their respective 'pieces of the puzzle' on time. It also means being on site a lot - checking that we are keeping up momentum and ensuring decisions are made quickly.

The traditional culture in Northern Ireland construction seems to be a little chaotic and rife with delays, but we believe it doesn't have to be. We want a highly organised individual who is thinking and planning 3 steps ahead of the rest of the team.

Duties

Work with our external architect to complete highly organised and well thought out technical drawings (to a high level of detail). Effectively lead and manage the project in hand. (We tend to just do one at a time) Utilise our project management software to keep everyone in line. Develop comprehensive project plans. Provide regular updates on project status (formal weekly email update). Implement best practices in project management methodologies. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with organisational systems and processes. Be the 'eyes and ears' for the client on site. Maintain amazing comms with all stakeholders via Whatsapp, email & PMS.

Requirements

Above all else, you need to be up for having a bit of craic. Honesty and integrity. Proven experience of completing architectural drawings for numerous medium and large commercial schemes. Proven experience as a Project Manager. Proficiency in project management software. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills. Not afraid to get your boots dirty.

Information

This job is based in Belfast Northern Ireland and as it stands, all of our development pipeline for the next 5 years is in Belfast. Therefore there is unlikely to be any travel required.

We expect everyone to be in the office (or on site) 5 days per week. We do not offer work from home days. We believe that this improves culture in the office and allows faster decisions to be made.
