Job Description

Due to continued growth & success in their portfolio, a multi-disciplinary company located in Central Birmingham, are now seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistants with at least 3 years' of practice experience to join the team.

Pay: Up to 33,000.00 per year (depending on experience)

Multi-sector experience is preferable, ideally in any of the following:



Residential Apartments/ Student Accommodation Residential new build houses Commercial Masterplanning/ Feasibility schemes Community

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PART 2 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT:



Providing support to the Project/Senior Architects within the office. Assisting in the preparation of design proposals, including drawings, models and technical specifications for planning and building regs submissions. Producing 3D models and photoshop images for planning. Attending meetings and having input. Managing and working on projects independently. Conducting site visits and surveys to gather information about existing conditions and potential design constraints. Assisting in the production of detailed construction and planning documents, including architectural plans, elevations, sections and details. Contributing to sustainability and environmental considerations in the design process. Emphasising quality, innovation and excellence in all architectural work. Aiding with confirming material specifications required for construction. Aiding with obtaining quotes for planning reports. Working as part of a design team in the preparation of production information and working drawing packages in both traditional and Design and build projects across multi sectors. Working on local, regional, national and international projects. Working towards your Part 3 qualification which will be supported by the practice!

PART 2 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:



Post-Part II (MArch) experience is preferable, in the region of 3 - 5 years in a UK practice. These include private and commercial sectors working for private clients, property developers and commercial companies. UK (ARB) recognised qualifications at Part 1 & 2 level. Architectural experience within multiple sectors such as Commercial, Residential and Workplace/Offices. Passion for design and interest in developments within the Architecture industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Proficiency in Revit is desirable. Adobe Suite proficiency is essential (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). 3D modelling skills. Sketchup/ Revit desirable. Experience of producing concept and feasibiltiy designs. Able to draw 'free hand' sketches and illustrate.
