Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed technical drawings, assisting with project documentation, and supporting architectural design processes. This role is based within a retrofit business in the use of natural fibre insulation.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed technical drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D. Assist in system design and construction documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and building regulations. Create graphic designs for presentation materials and client proposals. Support the realisation of architectural concepts through detailed CAD drawings and schematic diagrams. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate translation of designs into buildable solutions. Maintain organised project files and ensure all drawings adhere to company standards. Carry out onsite inspections Assist on site trades to provide guidance and technical support Deal with customers regarding the coordination of the project from initial enquiry to handover Have a passion for making buildings more efficient

Experience

Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation or similar platforms. Knowledge of schematic design, system design, and construction processes within architectural projects. Experience in graphic design or visualisation techniques is desirable. Strong understanding of construction principles and technical drawing standards. Ability to interpret architectural plans and translate concepts into precise technical documentation.
