Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our growing team at our Archincad Ldt office in London or Luton. The job role mainly includes creating planning application drawings using AutoCAD, 3D models, and completing admin office tasks that support architectural projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of CAD and 3D modelling skills within a collaborative environment committed to innovative design and sustainable solutions from residential projects to restaurants/ hotels to commercial buildings. Outside of office tasks, you will also have the opportunity to go on site meetings and see the progress of the projects you work on.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed planning application drawings, and construction documents using AutoCAD. Create accurate 3D models and visualisations with SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, or any other preferred software to work on interior design projects. Manage current and future projects swiftly and ensure tasks are completed up to date. Be able to clearly and consistently communication with clients and colleagues as part of basic office admin tasks. Assist in system design and graphic presentation for architectural proposals. Maintain organised digital files and ensure all drawings adhere to project standards and deadlines.

Requirements

Have experience doing planning applications in the UK. Know how to do the planning application drawings and submitting it through planning portal. Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD. Proficiency in 3D modelling tools including SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D. Knowledge of system design principles relevant to architecture and construction projects. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. A recognised qualification in architecture or related field is preferred, however experience is valued more. This role offers an engaging environment for creative problem-solving within the architectural industry, requiring a proactive approach to technical development and collaboration across disciplines. Preferably have UK driving licence and a vehicle to travel to site when needed. Project management skills to overlook and manage multiple construction projects. We are looking for someone trustworthy and honest to take on a permeant role here at Archincad ldt. Preferably someone proficient with AI tools. Preferably has business management knowledge or experience.
We are looking to offer a full-time permanent hybrid role to the right individual that fits our company values and job role requirements. There will be a maximum of 3 months training depending on your level of experience and capability (travel costs will be covered), salary and benefits are negotiable. Looking for someone who can start immediately. We are also able to offer work permit visa at the end of your first year with us, if needed.
