\xc2\xa335,000.00 - \xc2\xa340,000.00 per annum + Car Allowance (Permanent)

Architectural Technician / Technologist required for a premium five Star House Builder to be based from their headquarters in Doncaster.

Our client are an established Home Builder with 18 current developments across the Yorkshire and Midlands regions, they pride themselves on offering exceptional design with every individual unit unique in its build and outstanding attention to the detail.

Buying and living in one of clients homes is something unique for their customers. They take more care, they have more choice and their developments are designed to be different. A big part of this is getting the technical information right, from planning submission to completion, they need someone with an eye for detail and great communication skills. You\'ll be the go to for everything technical, including preparing plans, resolving queries and ensuring compliance and cost control.

As part of the Operational Architectural team, the Architectural Technician will be responsible for the production and coordination of technical working drawings, layouts and associated details for tender purposes and construction. Working closely with other departments in the business along with external consultants and suppliers, your role will be to ensure all information is accurate and on budget to ensure an effective site start. You\'ll apply your experience of residential construction and knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation to smooth the path from site acquisition to sign off, making sure every detail is just right.

Our client are one of a handful of House Builders who have successfully implemented REVIT software within the business, therefor alongside a good Technical knowledge required is someone who has experience using REVIT to produce working drawing packages, REVIT knowledge is essential. Architectural Technicians from either an Architectural practice background or currently working within a house builder with a minim of 5 years\' experience is the ideal background.

Duties for the Architectural Technician

  • Working with consultants to an agreed programme for SAP calculations, landscaping, tree surveys, ecological surveys etc.
  • Managing the external supply chain for third party details such as heating, trusses, joists, staircases to ensure effective delivery.
  • Preparing and presenting technical details/plans internally
  • Representing the Technical Department at meetings, including post-land bid, prestart, and technical handover
  • Responding to site queries and resolving technical/construction issues
  • Managing the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval
  • Liaising with the Head of Planning to ensure discharge of all planning conditions.
  • Ensuring that working drawings are in accordance with the approved planning scheme.
  • Working with the Commercial Department to monitor and manage costs and budgets.
  • Ensuring our customer facing materials are technically compliant.
  • Produce detailed working drawings using REVIT software.
