The Art of Building Ltd is an East Midlands based practice with a varied portfolio that spans the country.

Our creative team is expanding due to some fantastic upcoming projects and we're looking for a talented architectural designer to join us.

4 Years + industry experience in an architectural practice.

A strong and varied design portfolio.

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of planning permission and building regulations.

Excellent presentation skills with a keen eye for visual quality.

Be able to competently use AutoCAD 2D / 3D / Sketchup / and knowledge of D5 Render.

Ability to communicate in a clear way to a wide range of clients, consultants, and contractors both verbally and in writing.

Ability to produce drawings/designs on a range of projects, residential and commercial for clients across the UK.

Be creative and able to work in an energetic, driven environment, with a good use of initiative.

Be passionate about architecture and design, with a desire to learn and to progress in a supportive environment.

Ability to work as part of a team on larger projects, but also individually.

Outstanding organisational skills to work to tight deadlines, client requirements and varying workloads. Comfortable balancing priorities and working on more than one project at a time.

Be willing to attend site visits / site surveys UK wide.

Full UK/EU Driving License.

What you'll be doing:

Essentially, you will be responsible for surveying and then producing planning permission drawings, to include:

The preparation, development and editing (under the guidance of the project lead) of drawings, models and images. Contribute through all work stages of a project, from creative design to delivery.

Pay: From 30,000.00 per year
