Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural design and technical drawing, with proficiency in various software applications. As an Architectural Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development of architectural projects, ensuring that designs are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

Collaborate with architects and other professionals to create detailed architectural drawings and plans. Utilise software such as AutoCAD, to produce high-quality schematics and technical documentation. Develop 3D models using SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Grasshopper 3D to visualise design concepts. Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications for various projects. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project status. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design processes.

Qualifications

Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, is essential. Strong understanding of Building Regulation. Experience in graphic design or system design is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate schematics. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A relevant degree or qualification in architecture or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential.
