We are delighted to be seeking an Architectural Technologist to join our in house design team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, experienced and tight knit team that operates on a national scale. Reporting directly to the managing director, you will work closely with building professionals, providing architectural design services and solutions to construction projects within with commercial industry.
Previous knowledge within the food, transport or logistics sectors is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assess the needs of clients and users and agree the project brief.
Advise the environmental and regulatory legal requirements effecting the project.
Obtain initial approvals from the various authorities.
Produce feasibility studies and surveys.
Advise clients on buying in materials and on forms of contracts
In Discussing Projects:
Prepare and present design proposals using CAD and traditional methods.
Lead the design process and co-ordinate detailed design information.
Manage and co-ordinate detailed design information.
Advise on choosing materials.
Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities.
Carry out design stage risk assessments.
In Managing Projects:
Manage or co-ordinate professionals working on the project.
Obtain and evaluate tenders and contracts.
Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and local approval authorities.
Programme work schedules and carry out inspections at various stages.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 3 years experience within a similar role.
Must be proficient with Auto CAD.
Must have an up to date knowledge of current legislation relating to Construction and Architecture.
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm, office based.
Salary: Dependent on age & experience.
