About the Role
As an Architectural Technician/Technologist, you'll be a key member of our in-house design team. You'll collaborate closely with the architectural team, quantity surveyors, buyers, in-house kit manufacturing team and civil engineers to produce robust and accurate technical information across all RIBA stages. You'll be confident leading projects, preparing planning and building control submissions, and producing high-quality detailed construction packages.
Key Responsibilities
Produce technical drawings, specifications, and schedules through RIBA Work Stages 3-6.
Prepare submissions for planning and building control approvals.
Lead and manage projects through the construction phases, including attending site and client meetings.
Respond to RFIs and contribute to design development during construction.
Maintain and update detailed house type packages to ensure regulatory compliance.
Support our in-house timber kit manufacturing team with the detailing of timber frame systems.
Stay current with UK legislation, Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and sustainability standards.
Collaborate across departments to deliver coordinated project outcomes.
Requirements
HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in housing development or an architectural practice.
Strong technical expertise and experience delivering detailed packages from design to construction.
Excellent working knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Strong detailing, documentation, organisational, and communication skills.
