Area Delivery Networks Lead

to lead the delivery of critical systems, structures, and components (SSCs) at Sizewell C. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of nuclear energy development, managing complex engineering and construction programmes in a dynamic and regulated environment.

About the Role




As an Area Delivery Networks Lead - , you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a defined scope of SSCs, covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). You will work closely with the Site Delivery Lead and the wider leadership team to ensure that all aspects of delivery are executed safely, to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget.


You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of over 30 professionals, including Area Delivery Managers and managers across engineering, commercial, project, and construction disciplines. Your scope will include Earthworks, Enabling Works (UXO, ecology, archaeology), Civils, Networks, and Buildings, and you will manage a matrix team that includes SZC's supply chain, quality teams, and external suppliers.

Key Delivery Areas



Sub-Programme Delivery:

Develop and execute strategies for delivering scope to cost, schedule, and quality.

Programme Assurance:

Monitor progress, assess mitigation plans, and recommend improvements to maintain schedule integrity.

HSEQ Compliance:

Ensure all delivery activities meet SZC standards and reflect industry best practices.

Nuclear Safety Accountabilities




This role will hold nuclear safety responsibilities as defined in the

Nuclear Baseline

. A strong understanding of nuclear safety principles and quality assurance is essential.

Key Responsibilities



Define work scope and manage interfaces across the programme. Secure and manage resources, maintaining SQEP standards. Lead execution of strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP). Maintain stakeholder communication and ensure alignment with project goals. Drive contract/package delivery to meet safety, schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Monitor progress, manage risks, and escalate issues as needed. Ensure delivery of the List of Deliverables (LOD). Promote continuous improvement and knowledge capture. Interface with other programmes to share best practices. Fulfil all contractual obligations and maintain effective team relationships.

What We're Looking For



Essential Skills & Experience:



Proven experience delivering complex projects in regulated environments (nuclear preferred). Strong leadership in engineering design, procurement, and construction execution. Experience managing EPCM projects and complex contracts (NEC/FIDIC). Proficiency in project controls, earned value management, and risk tools. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Degree-qualified and chartered in engineering, construction, or related field. Knowledge of CDM Regulations and nuclear quality assurance. Experience across full project lifecycle from concept to handover. Familiarity with EPR design and delivery. Project management qualifications (APM, Prince2) preferred.
