The Opportunity

We're looking for an

to join

OCL Regeneration as part of Holcim UK

, leading our depots in Micheldever (Hampshire) and Avonmouth (Bristol). OCL plays a vital role in transforming construction and demolition waste into sustainable alternatives to traditional asphalt and aggregates. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of circular construction, driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability across two key depots.

As Area Depot Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, support the rollout of our Integrated Management System (IMS), and build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues. You'll be a leader who thrives on responsibility, ensuring production targets are met, compliance is maintained, and the team is motivated to deliver results.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing and supporting depot operations across Micheldever and Avonmouth. Leading teams of depot managers and operatives, providing coaching, training, and development. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times. Driving the rollout and ongoing development of the

Holcim IMS

across OCL depots. Supporting audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans to maintain compliance. Working closely with the Area Manager and Commercial team to identify opportunities and grow sales. Overseeing waste management, permit compliance, crushing and screening operations, and contracting activity. Managing budgets, HR responsibilities, and inventory, ensuring resources are used effectively. Building strong customer relationships, handling queries, and ensuring excellent service delivery. Driving depot improvements, from safety initiatives to performance KPIs.

Who You Are

You're an experienced depot or production manager with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for sustainable construction. You'll bring leadership skills, operational know-how, and the confidence to manage multiple sites.

Experience running aggregate, recycling, or waste depots. Strong background in managing people, budgets, and operational performance. Good working knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality management. IOSH or NEBOSH would be desirable. WAMITAB or H&S accreditations desirable (training available for the right candidate). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability. Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities to grow sales. Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across sites.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
