Area Manager - Dental Practices (Perth & Glasgow)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full-time

Salary: 18-22 per hour (negotiable depending on experience) + travel expenses + benefits

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee the operational management of two dental practices: an established practice in Glasgow (Alexandra area) and a newly opening practice in Perth.

This is a hands-on, senior operational role requiring regular movement between sites. The successful candidate will be primarily based in Perth, working on reception when required, while providing area-level management oversight across both locations. Travel between sites will be fully compensated.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day operational management of both dental practices

Staff recruitment, onboarding, rota planning, and performance management

Invoicing, basic financial oversight, and liaison with external accountants

Ensuring full compliance with regulatory, CQC/Scottish standards, and internal SOPs

Supporting reception workflows and patient journey management (particularly in Perth)

Stock control, supplier liaison, and cost management

Acting as the link between clinical teams and senior management

Supporting the launch, setup, and stabilisation of the new Perth practice

Person Specification

Essential:

Previous experience within a dental practice environment

Strong understanding of dental compliance and governance

Proven experience in staff management and operational leadership

Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently

Willingness to travel regularly between Perth and Glasgow

Desirable:

Experience in multi-site or area management

Exposure to invoicing, payroll liaison, or practice finances

Experience supporting new practice openings or expansions
