We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to lead multiple nurseries, ensuring excellence in care, compliance, and team development.
This is a key leadership role for someone who is motivated by high standards, thrives on supporting others, and is dedicated to shaping the future of early years education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the performance, operations, and compliance of multiple nursery settings.
Support and mentor Nursery Managers to consistently deliver outstanding childcare and education.
Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, Health & Safety, and safeguarding legislation.
Conduct internal audits and implement quality improvement plans across settings.
Provide leadership and strategic input during Ofsted inspections and follow-up processes.
Promote alignment and consistency in policies, values, and culture across all locations.
Identify staff development needs and coordinate ongoing training opportunities.
Manage escalated matters, including safeguarding concerns, parental complaints, and staff issues.
Contribute to organisational strategy, including new site launches, partnerships, and community engagement.
About You
We're looking for a passionate and proactive individual with a proven track record in leadership within the early years sector.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above preferred).
At least 10 years' experience in early years management, including area or multi-site oversight.
In-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted frameworks, and safeguarding requirements.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Confident decision-maker with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to travel across nursery locations as required (Full UK driving licence essential).
Desirable:
Experience launching new nursery settings and leading change initiatives.
Familiarity with marketing strategies and building local partnerships.
