This position is not full time. It is suited to someone who is already in a teaching/sports coaching role and would like extra income/additional responsibilities

Across Cornwall & Devon - examples include

Set days during school holidays (Christmas/Easter and Summer) + additional prep hours before each camp period (normally 2 weeks of flexible working)

We're now looking for an
enthusiastic and proactive Area Manager
to help us make every camp run smoothly across
Cornwall and Devon
.
The Role
As an Area Manager, you'll be on the move -- visiting and supporting our holiday camps across the region (for example, in
Newquay, Tavistock, Plymouth, Bideford, and Exeter
). You'll make sure each camp is safe, well-organised, and full of energy.
The majority of your work will not be office based-- this is a
hands-on, active role
ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Any time spent during the planning and preparation period can be done from home. This is normally for around 2 weeks prior to the camps starting, taking up around 15hrs per week (approx).
Whilst the camps are up and running, your hours are around 7.5hrs per day.
You'll be responsible for:
Overseeing daily operations at multiple camp locations.
Supporting and guiding Camp Leads, Coaches, and Assistants.
Ensuring camps meet safeguarding, health & safety, and operational standards.
Helping prepare for camp openings during term time.
Troubleshooting and ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.
Creating a positive, motivated team environment.
Managing Staff Rota's and being on call for monitoring any sickness/absence (hands on cover maybe required).
What We're Looking For
We're after someone who's:
Experienced
working with children in a
sports coaching or teaching capacity
.
Organised and calm
under pressure -- able to think on your feet and manage challenges.
Proactive
and happy to travel across Cornwall and Devon as part of the job.
Set days in school holidays + some term-time prep work.
Location:

Pay:
Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.
