British American Tobacco UKhas an exciting opportunity for an Area Marketing Research & Insights Manager in London (12-month fixed-term contract)
In this key role, you will drive impactful consumer and customer insights for HP & Combustibles across the Western Europe area, embedding them into strategic decisions and ensuring research excellence across all markets. You will also act as a key partner to cross-functional teams, championing insight-led thinking and best-in-class research standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:Leading the implementation and governance of research systems and protocols across all Western Europe end-markets.
Supporting the Head of Research & Insights WE in shaping and delivering the HP & Combustibles research and insights agenda.
Rolling out best practices in marketing research across the Area, driving consistency and excellence.
Leading the analysis of market trends, economic conditions, and consumer behaviours to support strategic decisions.
Serving as the central hub for HP & Combustibles insights, coordinating research-related information across markets and senior stakeholders.
Managing the Area research roadmap, ensuring projects are relevant, cost-effective, and executed to the highest standard.
Translating consumer and customer behaviors into clear, actionable insights that inform brand, pricing, and product strategies.
Evaluating the impact of major marketing initiatives through measurable business outcomes and insight-driven reviews.
What are we looking for?Strong commercial experience in brand and trade strategy development, with the ability to translate insights into impactful business actions.
Solid understanding of research methodologies, platforms, and industry best practices.
Proven experience in research project management and design, from scoping to delivery.
Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, with a focus on actionable outcomes.
A strong track record in consumer and trade research, ideally within FMCG or related industries.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence key business decisions.
Demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams, fostering growth and high performance.
High proactivity in driving the insights & research agenda, with a focus on setting and achieving clear goals.
