A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced and driven
Area Sales Manager
to join a well-established agricultural machinery business. This role is due to a forthcoming retirement and will cover the Mid Wales and Shropshire Border region. The successful candidate will be based at the Churchstoke depot and play a vital part in managing incoming sales enquiries and driving new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming enquiries related to new and used farm machinery via phone, email, web, and in-person.
Identify and engage potential customers across core agricultural and ancillary industries.
Prepare accurate and competitive customer quotes.
Arrange product demonstrations in collaboration with the depot's sales support specialists.
Carry out appraisals and prepare estimated PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) budgets.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of sales documentation and paperwork.
Maintain weekly call sheets detailing all customer interactions.
Support credit control efforts as directed by the Accounts Manager.
Represent the business at trade shows and open evenings.
Coordinate with marketing on initiatives and promotional activities.
Liaise with manufacturer representatives to negotiate optimal purchasing options.
Work alongside finance partners to offer tailored finance solutions to customers.

Reports directly to the
Sales Director
Requirements:
Minimum GCSE or equivalent educational background.
Proven experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within agricultural machinery or related sectors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to cover Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
Willingness to travel for customer visits and trade events as needed.
