Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Area Sales Manager
for the
UK South region
, reporting to the UK Sales Manager. This role combines consultative technical sales with solution-based customer engagement, working closely with both local and international teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and delivering tailored solutions aligned with customer requirements. This is a home-based position with regular in-person client meetings and occasional travel to our UK HQ and group offices in Worcester.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a territory plan to achieve and exceed sales targets
Engage with new and existing customers via in-person meetings, virtual calls, and email
Deliver technical presentations and coordinate with internal specialists for solution development
Prepare quotations and support the sales process from enquiry to order
Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in the CRM system
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and seminars
What We're Looking For
Degree-qualified (ideally in Engineering or related field); materials science background advantageous
Minimum 3 years' experience in technical/consultative sales, ideally involving capital equipment
Strong communication skills, adaptable to various stakeholders and situations
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organisational skills
Willingness to travel within the UK South region and occasionally to European HQs
