Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to work for a multi-award winning company in the automotive aftermarket. Auto 4 supply premium quality equipment, tools and consumables to the automotive aftermarket, including tyre repair material, valve hardware, balance weights, chemical products, tyre inflation, air tools/buffing media, workshop tools, TPMS as well as a full range of Wheel Service equipment.

A very rare and exciting opportunity, has arisen within our group for an Area Sales Representative, and we are looking for a candidate with drive & enthusiasm to maintain and expand our sales operation into new areas.

This role seeks an energetic, dynamic, mature, self-driven and well organised individual working from their home base ideally in the Bristol/Bath area and be able to cover surrounding counties and surrounding areas.

You will be operating from a company van servicing and selling face to face to customers in the Tyre & garage industry, selling and replenishing their Tyre consumables directly from the vehicle.

You will be expected to meet and exceed realistic targets set for the area based on current sales history. You will be responsible for new Business Development in the area, calling on new and dormant accounts, revitalising old contacts.

You will also undergo on the Job training with the current area representative, being fully supported by your sales manager. You will receive comprehensive training on all aspects of the position including our consumable products, garage equipment range and tyre pressure monitoring systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a region which will include the following areas: Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, your duties will include:

Managing existing accounts Merchandising & managing Stock Providing an advisory and consultative information Processing orders via laptop Prospecting for new business Liaise with all other departments including warehouse, internal office and credit control Manage own sales budgets Promoting our full range of products
Key Competencies and Attributes

Understanding of the tyre industry (preferred) and automotive aftermarket (essential) Customer Service Territory Management Prospecting Negotiation Self-Confidence Self Driven Product Knowledge Computer literate to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
