Keane Futures is a vibrant, nurturing alternative provision dedicated to supporting young people with additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, and related challenges. We believe in interest-led, practical learning that builds confidence, skills, and brighter futures.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Art Tutor (with knowledge of Arts Award Delivery) to join our team on a 12-month contract. The successful applicant will deliver engaging and inclusive art sessions (1:1 or small groups) covering all aspects of music production. You will inspire young people through art while supporting their social wellbeing and mental health as part of a holistic approach.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality art sessions tailored to individual interests and abilities
Facilitate both 1:1 tuition and small group workshops
Support young people to develop practical skills in areas such as:
All paint forms
Sculpture / Clay
Jewellery making
Textiles
Collage
Digital
Embed social and emotional learning into all sessions
Encourage confidence, self-expression, and positive mental health through music
Work closely with the wider Keane Futures team to ensure consistent, person-centred support
Maintain records of progress and contribute to review meetings as required

About You
Experience in delivering Art education to young people (ideally with additional needs)
Strong understanding of how Art and. creativity can support mental health and wellbeing
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
Creative, flexible, and committed to inclusive practice
Contract & Pay
12-month contract (Freelance or PAYE -- negotiable depending on applicant)
Flexible hours (sessions typically during school hours, but some flexibility may be possible)
Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience
