Art Studio Lead & Workshop Facilitator

Pay: 12.75 per hour (higher rate for workshops, after-school clubs, and art classes)
About the Role
We are seeking a creative, confident, and experienced Art Studio Lead to independently manage and grow our vibrant art space. This is a hands-on leadership role - not an assistant position - ideal for someone passionate about community art, who is equally comfortable with ceramics, painting, content creation, and teaching.
You'll be the face of the studio, hosting events, leading classes, capturing content, and ensuring the space is welcoming, inspiring, and well-managed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operation of the art studio independently
Guide and support visitors with a range of creative activities, especially:
Ceramic pottery painting
Glazing techniques
Drawing and painting projects
Host and manage weekly birthday parties, Sip & See events, and seasonal art activities
Deliver and lead workshops and after-school clubs (paid at a higher rate)
From September: Teach art classes to both children and adults
Create and share weekly photo/video content from the studio
Keep the studio clean, organised, and fully stocked
Stay on top of art and design trends, incorporating fresh ideas into sessions
Create a warm, engaging environment for all studio guests
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience working in a creative studio or teaching role
Hands-on experience in ceramic pottery painting and glazing
Strong skills in drawing, painting, and mixed media
Confident working independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
Comfortable leading sessions for children and adults
Excellent communication and people skills - confident, approachable, and fun
Ability to capture great photos and videos for social media content
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience in other crafts (e.g. knitting, sculpture, clay modelling, printmaking)
Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, or InShot
Background in art education, event facilitation, or community arts
