Art Teacher (with Potential for Subject Lead) - Part-time.

We are seeking an inspiring, compassionate, and highly skilled Art Teacher to join our exceptional specialist school. Many of our learners access education alongside medical support, and our school works closely with hospitals to ensure continuity, care, and high-quality learning.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, inclusive Art lessons that are responsive to individual needs and abilities.
Create a classroom environment that celebrates creativity, expression, and achievement.
Use adaptive teaching strategies to ensure all pupils can participate meaningfully in artistic activities.
Collaborate closely with therapists, specialist staff, and other teachers to support holistic learning.
Contribute to curriculum development, with opportunities to lead and shape the Art provision in the near future.
Support whole-school initiatives that reflect our caring, learner-centred ethos.
Participate in ongoing professional development and take an active interest in subject leadership responsibilities.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge in Art.
Experience or interest in working within a specialist educational setting.
A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach, with a deep commitment to inclusive practice.
Creative, flexible teaching methods that adapt to individual learning pathways.
Strong organisational skills and an eagerness to take on additional responsibility.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
A desire to shape and lead an exceptional Art curriculum as part of future career progression.
