Connex London are now seeking to recruit a full time Art Technician to work alongside and support the Visual Arts department reporting to the Curriculum Area leader. This demanding and varied role requires a candidate with some art training, woodworking skills and typing and IT skills, with a working knowledge of Photoshop being an advantage.
The Art Technician will support in the following areas:
- documentation and organisation of pupil\xe2\x80\x99s work
- maintaining the daily operation of the studio
- ordering and receiving supplies
- preparing for and displaying exhibitions
- having awareness of Health and Safety regulations
- collecting materials and transporting exhibits
- on-going studio organisation
- liaising with cleaners and maintenance staff
- any other ad hoc duties as and when required
An enthusiastic person with a background in the arts, craft, design field who is looking for a varied role as a technician within a busy visual arts department. The ideal candidate would be energetic and keen to learn new skills. We will ensure the successful candidate enrols on the correct course and gains the appropriate health and safety training to work on the machinery/equipment required for the role therefore health and safety certificates are not required prior to beginning the role.
