London Art Collective (LAC) was founded in London, UK in 2018 with the aim of providing a platform for independent artists worldwide to showcase and promote their work. Over the years, LAC has gradually gathered global artistic resources and become a mainstream art exhibition organiser. To date, LAC has signed up over 150 global artists.
Job Summary
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, Canary Wharf, for an Artist Liaison. The role focuses on managing artist communications, coordinating with galleries, media platforms, and partners, preparing artist and exhibition materials, and supporting exhibitions, events, and related content activities to ensure smooth project delivery and professional representation of both the organisation and its artists.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison between artists, galleries, agents, media platforms, and promoters, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication across all parties.
Respond to incoming requests and enquiries, maintaining strong working relationships and representing the organisation and artists appropriately.
Prepare, update, and manage artist materials, including biographies, artwork descriptions, website content, and press-related documentation.
Research, collate, and archive critical reviews, media coverage, and relevant editorial content for artists and exhibitions.
Support and manage social media content related to artists, exhibitions, and institutional activities, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Assist with administrative and coordination tasks, including responding to artist enquiries, scheduling meetings, and arranging associated logistics (e.g. exhibition visits, calls, previews, and events).
Provide on-site and off-site support during meetings, exhibitions, and events, representing artists and the organisation in a professional and confident manner.
Skills & Experience
A degree in History of Art, Curating, Visual Culture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the art sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and remain calm and focused under pressure.
Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct specialist research and advanced information gathering within the contemporary art field, including galleries, media platforms, editorial teams, and art critics.
Confident in representing artists and the organisation in a range of professional contexts, including email correspondence, phone communication, meetings, and public-facing events.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to work.
