For over 36 years, we have supported families facing homelessness, relationship breakdowns and other challenges, helping them build safe and stable futures. If you want to gain tutoring experience while making a real impact, this is the role for you!

Your Role & Responsibilities:



Plan and facilitate simple, engaging arts and crafts activities appropriate for young children, under the guidance of nursery staff. Prepare materials and help set up the creative area before sessions begin. Support children during arts and crafts activities, encouraging exploration, creativity and safe use of materials. Adapt activities as needed with staff support to meet the needs of children with additional needs or sensory sensitivities. Promote confidence and communication through positive reinforcement and encouragement. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the creative area, tidying up and safely storing supplies. Follow health and safety guidance when using materials and tools, ensuring safe, age-appropriate use under supervision. Observe and report any safeguarding concerns or children's behaviours to the Nursery Manager or senior staff without delay. Participate in relevant training, including safeguarding, health and safety, and supporting children with additional needs.

Interest in children, child development and learning through play. Ability to engage young children in creative play and simple craft activities. Good communication skills and a helpful attitude. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Friendly, approachable, patient and personable. Respectful of confidentiality and sensitive information. Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing. Willingness to learn and attend training as needed.
