An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Arts Therapist /Psychotherapist to join Community rehab ilitation enhanced support team (CREST) . The service employ s an innovative model to provide rehabilitative care to people with complex and severe mental health issues . As such, this is in line with our programme of Community Mental Health Transformation aiming to transform and enhance the way we deliver our mental health services.

The CREST team is the first community mental health service within Berkshire Healthcare where the Arts Therapy intervention is pivotal in our service delivery. The post holder will play a pivotal role in delivering this innovative service using their knowledge and skills, as well as planning and evaluating, and will develop in post an expertise in Rehabilitation for Complex Psychosis.
The post holder will be the sole Arts Therapist/Psychotherapist in our Community Rehabilitation Enhanced Support Team (CREST). As this is a recently developed initiative this will initially involve some input into the development of the service, includin g feeding into processes and procedures , includ ing ensuring the implementation of evidence-based Arts Therapy assessment to o ls and interventions.
On a day-to-day basis, the Arts Therapist will support patients through a needs-led, patient-centred approach to care. Each patient will have a bespoke care plan agreed at MDT, Close collabo ration with the patients care coordinator is essential.
The role will include supporting patients with developing their skills and relationships to enable them to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Examples of activities that might be undertaken could include home visits or clinical space Arts Therapy interventions/sessions.
T he Arts Therapist will ensure that the service provides high-quality, evidence-based care to its service users and will maintain expert knowledge of the latest clinical guidance on recovery to help inform the delivery of the service.
The Arts Therapist will also build and maintain relationships with a network of stakeholders including other BHFT services and be responsible for helping to overcome communication barriers in relation to the needs of in dividuals and groups to ensure a high standard of care is maintained .
