We are an independent family business manufacturing mattress pocket spring components for the bedding industry on a dynamic and reactive basis using the latest efficient CNC manufacturing processes. As a business we are passionate about manufacturing in the UK and delivering a quality product.

Working in a shift team you will be self-motivated, reliable, accurate and enjoy being in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You should also be able to work safely unsupervised as well as with others to ensure the maximum productivity of your team.

To be considered you should have at least two years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and be numerate with a good standard of written and spoken English. You should also be physically fit and capable of some manual handling or lifting. Full training will also be given.

Salary

- Starting salary of 26,666.64 per annum, 3 tier pay structure dependent on position, skills and experience and paid monthly. Overtime often available. Company health scheme, workwear, pension, discretionary company sick pay (after 5 years service) and car parking are provided.

Hours

- The Company currently works on a 3 x 8-hour rotating shift pattern (5:45am-2pm / 1:45pm-10pm / 9:45pm-6am). However, please note that this position requires flexibility to cover at short notice where required.

Key Responsibilities include:

Producing mattress pocket spring sheets on CNC automated machinery

Changing specifications using both manual and touchscreen methods

Testing & calibration of products as part of the QA process

Recording, analysing & comprehension of test and production data

Reviewing and understanding works processes & technical documentation

Meeting strict planning deadlines

Following quality and standard operating procedures to a high standard.

The successful candidate must have:

Understanding of Health & Safety awareness and relevant legislation

Enthusiasm for manufacturing and producing a quality product

Ability to follow company procedures and verbal instructions accurately and safely.

Excellent timekeeping and reliability

Good organisational and housekeeping skills

A real 'can do' attitude and excellent communication and team working skills

Good numeracy skills together with a good standard of written and spoken English

Desire to progress in experience re multiskilling and responsibilities
