Purpose of the Role:





As our Assembly Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of operations - coordinating daily production, enforcing best practices and fostering a results-driven culture. You'll ensure productivity targets are met without compromising safety or quality, and you'll be a key player in driving continuous improvement across the department.


Key Collaborations:





You'll work closely with:


Planner/Buyers Materials Handlers Customer Service Despatch Engineering Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:




Lead daily team meetings to set clear production goals and share health and safety updates. Manage capacity, schedule production efficiently using IFS Shop Floor Workbench, and adjusting staffing/overtime needs. Monitor and uphold high quality standards, ensuring SOPs, ATPs and PDI are followed. Support recovering from production disruptions as needed.

People Leadership:




Conduct regular team talks and performance reviews, delivering real-time feedback. Coach and mentor team members to foster a Lean and Continuous Improvement mindset. Lead by example - hands-on where needed to support and guide team success.

Lean and Continuous Improvement:




Instil and sustain a Lean Manufacturing environment using proven tools, 5S, TPM, 5 Why, Kaisen and more. Identify opportunities for improvement and act on them decisively.

What You Bring:




A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Hands-on knowledge of Lean principles - 5S, TPM, 8 Wastes, Problem Solving (5 Why), Kaizen. Proven experiencing using MRP systems (IFS preferred). Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. A can-do attitude, problem solving mindset, and the ability to inspire growth in others.
