Job Description

The Assembly Test Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and/or mechanical products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role plays a key part in the production process, ensuring that products are built and tested to specification before delivery to customers.



Assemble components and products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications. Perform functional and performance testing on completed assemblies using test equipment and procedures. Identify and troubleshoot faults in assemblies and systems, working closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues. Document test results, failures, and corrective actions accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production and testing processes. Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient production flow.

Qualifications & Skills:



Proven experience in assembly and testing within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with electrical and/or mechanical testing equipment. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (preferred).

Working Conditions:



Workshop or production floor environment. May require standing for extended periods and handling small components. Use of PPE as required.
