The Role



City College Plymouth is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our Health & Childhood Education Department as an Assessor of Childhood Education students and Apprentices.

The successful candidate will support a caseload of Early Years learners, including Level 2 Early Years Practitioners and T Level Education & Early Years students, guiding them to develop the professional skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to successfully achieve their qualifications and gain their Licence to Practise.

Working closely with the Curriculum Learning Development Officer (CLDO) and Programme Manager, you will engage with employers and placement settings to ensure each learner has access to high-quality, developmental experiences that prepare them for the Early Years workforce. You will use your industry expertise and insight to make recommendations that enhance and improve the quality of delivery and assessment.

Adapting well to changes and remaining calm in new situations. For example being able to be calm and flexible if students cancel their observations at short notice

Coping well in pressurised, challenging situations. For example, being able to deal with a workload and a deadline that has to be met

-Focusing on immediate and future targets, remaining determined to achieve.For example,ensuring you keep up on top of the visits and completing the paperwork required.

Delivering -

Delivering proactively, with a sense of ownership. For example supporting the students to achieve their placement requirements with your full support.
