Boston College is currently looking to recruit a full-time Assessor in Electrical and Plumbing.
This is your opportunity to use your industry experience and expertise to inspire and develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
You will be working as part of an experienced and supportive team, delivering high-quality assessment and support to apprentices and full-time learners across Electrical Installation and Plumbing programmes.
As an Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting regular reviews and assessments of learners in the workplace, ensuring they are making progress and meeting the standards required for successful completion of their Apprenticeship or vocational qualification. This will include visiting apprentices on-site, assessing their practical competence, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring all documentation and evidence meet awarding body requirements.
You should ideally have relevant and recent industrial experience. Assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable; however, support and training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will be a well-organised and flexible individual, capable of managing your own workload effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate, engage, and inspire learners to succeed in their chosen trade.
