Job Purpose


This role coordinates and manages assets across multiple UK ATC Capabilities, tracking inventory and ensuring compliance. Key responsibilities include maintaining asset records, assisting with procurement and disposal, and analysing asset data to support financial planning and operational efficiency. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to maintain asset integrity and meet organisational goals.

The role is offered on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of the financial year (March 2026).


We have an office based in York, and you're welcome to work on-site or attend the office a few times a week in a hybrid capacity. We're also flexible in offering remote working options with regular travel required.

Key responsibilities:



Tracking and maintaining an up-to-date asset register, including details on physical location, condition, and status Recording maintenance activities and inspections for physical technical assets to ensure operational efficiency and longevity Collecting, organising, and analysing asset-related data, ensuring all relevant information is accessible via reports and intranet pages Continuously improving processes, ensuring that asset management practices comply with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Assisting with the disposal of obsolete assets Supporting internal projects related to asset purchasing and installation, ensuring readiness and safety for project work.

What we are looking for

:

Organisational Skills:

The ability to manage numerous tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain focus amidst high volumes of data. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, able to prioritise responsibilities

Attention to Detail:

Ensuring accuracy in data management, record-keeping, and compliance.

Communication Skills:

Strong interpersonal and writing skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with asset management software, Competence in the MS Office suite of software and other relevant technological tools.

Person:

Willing to consistently work outside the job description to help the team. A background in agriculture, agri-food or research environments, strong sector knowledge is an advantage but not essential

Special Requirements:



You must have the legal right to work in the UK A full and valid UK driving licence is required
