We are looking for an Asset Engineer to join our Drainage Engineering and Asset Management team. The team are responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of a varied asset portfolio across the length and breadth of the Western Route. The successful individual will be expected to work in a collaborative manner with both internal and external stakeholders whilst promoting the importance of systems thinking.The role will include using GiS data, embracing technology and working with datasets to ensure accurate and reliable data is available, to drive optimal decisions within asset management.You will support drainage asset management processes including inspection, maintenance and renewals in accordance with functional policy and standards to deliver a safe and reliable railway for our customers. Providing necessary assistance to determine compliance with suitability and robustness of maintenance regimes.xc2xb7 Provide a comprehensive system engineering support service across the Lineside asset base throughout the route and across delivery units as and when required. Monitor and strive to improve the technical competence of engineers & operatives associated with Lineside activities in the delivery units in line with (NR/L2/CIV/1000/01).xc2xb7 Provide technical briefings associated with Lineside engineering to engineers in delivery units in order that the purpose, as well as the content of standards, specification, etc. is understood.xc2xb7 Review and make recommendations on derogation and non-compliance applications to Lineside systems engineering related standards.xc2xb7 Carry out assurance of asset condition inspections that will inform the Lineside asset condition database and approve TEFs for the renewals work bank. Support initiatives, as directed, to improve processes, data quality, effectiveness of delivery and strategy.xc2xb7 Support the development of route specific plans including all maintenance and renewal activities and asset strategies, providing the prioritised investment work bank.
