About the role
Lineside plays a critical role in the management of trees and vegetation as well as the boundary measures, access facilities and pathways along our entire network. The trees and vegetation support biodiversity and habitat management whilst also offsetting the carbon footprint of the railway. The boundary measures, access facilities and pathways provide security and form part of a safe workplace environment.
We have a rare opening in our East Midlands team for a Lineside Asset Engineer, who will immediately get up close and personal with all our lineside assets. We're based in Derby, but you could be on-site from London to Chesterfield or Stoke to Skegness! We'll train and support you to become an integral part of our Route Engineering Team, supporting the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment workbanks, responding to incidents and dealing with queries from neighbours or other Network Rail teams.
Who are we looking for?
If you care about the environment, are passionate about good engineering, like the great outdoors and have a great sense of humour then this is the job for you! Let's talk!
