Duties
Assist the owners in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Supervise and support team members, including front-of-house staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive work environment.
Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Monitor food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table utilisation to maximise guest satisfaction.
Assist in training new staff members and conducting ongoing professional development sessions.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold high service standards.
Support inventory management, including stock ordering and waste reduction initiatives.
Contribute to menu planning alongside culinary staff, incorporating customer feedback and seasonal offerings.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the premises in accordance with safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel services is highly desirable.
Familiarity with restaurant service procedures, including serving standards and hospitality practices.
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef assistant or barista is advantageous but not essential.
