A leading business based in the Ballymena area require an Assistant Accountant to join their team for an initial period until the end of March, are you an experienced Assistant Accountant who is comfortable with the month end processes?

VANRATH are delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland's most recognisable employers who are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team, initially on a contract basis, with potential for extension.
The Ideal Person
If you are an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant;

• At least 2 years' previous experience of working in a financial department
• A minimum of 5 GCSE's, grades A-C, or equivalent, to include Maths and English
• Strong spreadsheet skills, specifically Excel
• Proven record of ability to work to tight deadlines & in a pressurised team-based environment.

Responsibilities
As an Assistant Accountant you will:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts
• Fixed assets register maintenance
• Monthly/Quarterly cash flow forecasts
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparation and posting of general ledger journals
• Carrying out Balance sheet/control account reconciliations.
• Intercompany Reconciliations
• Assist the finance accountant in preparation of year end accounts and audit pack
• Supporting Financial Accountant in daily tasks
