Job Description

As a growing charity, we are looking to expand our Finance Department by introducing a new role of

Assistant Accountant

to the team. This role will work closely with our Contracts Manager to reconcile invoices to receipts. You will interrogate and reconcile spreadsheets, our Accounting Package and rostering software to ensure all three are aligned. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and will be required to attend meetings to present the financial position when required.

The role:



The role is for 21-28 hours across the working week (Monday-Friday), and we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.

It is a hybrid working role, with the expectation of 1 day in the office each week.

The salary for this role is 34,709 - 39,047 (FTE) depending upon experience.

The role also has the potential to become full time from 1st April 2026.

Person specification:



To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have:

1-2 years experience in an accounting or finance role experience of Sage 200 high financial literacy with strong analytical and lateral thinking skills to resolve complex data-driven challenges excellent IT skills in Microsoft applications, with a particular strength in Excel and data manipulation excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with the drive to self-motivate excellent verbal and written communication skills. a proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
